LIMA — The country band “Parmalee” will headline the 7th Annual St. Jude Benefit Concert, sponsored by Lima country radio station 92.1 The Frog, on Friday, April 29 at the Lima Civic Center.

Chelsey M. Risner, 398 E. Forest Road Apt. 40-D, reported that she became involved in an argument with a named suspect at her residence after he took her cell phone from her. While attempting to get it back, she was knocked to the floor and bit by the suspect.

The Hardin County Board of Elections will   meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3 in its office in the basement of the Hardin County Courthouse to conduct logic and accuracy testing on the voting equipment. The board will not have a regular meeting on Feb. 11.

The Hardin County Veterans Service Commission reports 78 vouchers issues for the month of December. There were 57 food vouchers totaling $1,935 and 21 for utilities and other expenses with totaled $3,538.93.

Additional police dispatching through the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office is going smoothly, Sheriff Keith Everhart reported Tuesday. It was one of the subjects the sheriff covered in his monthly report to the county commissioners.

The Kenton-Hardin Health Board gave a home owner in Dudley Township another five months to address the nuisance issues at his property. John Bennett Jr. told the board Tuesday night he has made progress on cleaning the yard around his home, but needs more time due to the winter weather and financial costs.

Hardin County’s unemployment rate for December ticked down to 4.2 percent, according to information released Tuesday by the Ohio Bureau of Labor Market Information. That is a slight improvement from the 4.3 percent jobless rate posted in the county in November.

The Kenton water tower has been shut down until further notice due to a water leak on Decatur Street, Safety Service Director Jim Hites announced Tuesday afternoon.
