There will be access to the Hardin County Fair in September on Letson Avenue in Kenton, even if the road reconstruction project is not completed. Safety Service Director Jim Hites told the Times this morning that the city’s engineering firm, Choice One, will make this clear to whatever firm is awarded the contract.

Kenton will pair its street funding with an Issue II grant to pave South Leighton Street in 2017. Mayor Randy Manns told City Council on Monday night he was recently made aware of the Issue II funding available for the project by Mark Doll, director of Hardin County Regional Planning.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — The Riverdale Education Foundation recently received its largest donation since being established. The Riverdale Board of Education heard from the foundation’s chairman, Jeff Knedler, at its regular meeting Monday night.

Hardin Memorial Hospital has a fresh new look for 2016 after replacing external signage that was more than 30 years old. The new signage reflects the hospital’s long-term relationship with OhioHealth, one of the largest and top five healthcare systems in the country.
