Record sales tax year; commissioners set 2016 appropriations Hardin County had a record year for sales tax collection in 2015. Auditor Mike Bacon said sales tax revenue was $4,360,595, up more than $300,000 from 2014 when the total collected was $4,049,044. In 2013, the tax brought in just under $4 million. Read More

County commissioners approve annexation of future Fastenal location The Hardin County Commissioners unanimously approved the annexation of two acres into the city of Kenton on Thursday. The land is located at the southeast corner of Ohio 31 and Bales Road on the southern edge of the city. Larry Leffel and Wes Grimm are planning to develop a building at that location which will house the Fastenal store and one other compatible business. Read More
