More truck route proposals

To the editor: I think Mr. Cahill had an excellent idea on the proposed truck route. Some years ago, I suggested the same route for a crossover both ways from Ohio 31 and U.S. 68. At that time, Mayor Ritzler informed me that the state considered the street too short for that purpose.

Ada man gets 10 years for meth lab charges

An Ada man who was using his home as a meth lab when it caught fire in May with four children inside will spend ten years in prison. Charles Thomas Louden III, 4781 Ohio 235, Ada, pleaded guilty to one count each of illegal manufacturing of drugs in the vicinity of a juvenile; endangering children and two counts of aggravated arson....

Nominations sought for Agriculture Hall of Fame

Applications are being accepted for the 2015 Hardin County Agriculture Hall of Fame through the end of business on Oct. 16. Nominees must have made their major contribution to agriculture primarily as a result of being born, growing up, living in, or working in Hardin County, Ohio.

The Hardin County Farm Bureau held its first ATV Tour in the southwest corner of the county on Saturday, Sept. 26. Nearly 50 Farm Bureau members enjoyed the beautiful weather while being led down back country roads by sherriff’s escort in Marion Township, Roundhead Township, and McDonald Township.
