ADA — The Ada Police Department is investigating the death of a woman in her home Wednesday morning. According to a press release from Police Chief Michael Harnishfeger, at 7:39 a.m. Wednesday, officers, along with the Ada Liberty Rescue Squad, were called to 439 E. Lehr.

The Kenton Times will not publish a newspaper on Friday or Saturday in observance of the New Year’s holiday. Regular publication of the paper will resume Monday, Jan. 4.

MOUNT VICTORY — The Hardin County Agricultural Society is seeking another act to perform at the 2016 county fair. At the fair board’s Dec. 5 meeting, it was announced that Chase Bryant would perform.

Misty Rose Imboden, 304 1/2 W. Franklin St., reported being attacked by a very large, brown dog while walking near the intersection of Franklin and Barron streets.

When Pat Katterjohn was a graduating senior at Kenton High School, she took a part-time job in the Kenton Times circulation department. Since that day, Pat met her future husband in the mail room, helped her son deliver papers and made friends with the people who look forward to her bringing them their daily paper.

In May of 2010, the Kenton Board of Education turned to the school district community for help. The district faced a $2 million budget hole and the board enacted a plan to cut more than $1.2 million for the 2010-2011 school year. Voters were asked to provide the other part of the financial solution.

Our New Year’s Eve paper will go to press earlier on Thursday morning and is expected back in Kenton by noon. The Times office will close at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Kollen Stoller, 18920 Ohio 309, Kenton was cited for causing a hit/skip accident at the Village Pantry parking lot when he struck a vehicle operated by Jeffrey Holland, 812 S. Main St., Kenton. A worker at the Coleman Behavior Health office in Kenton reported a named person disclosed he had been raped 22 years ago in Kenton.
