“Exceptional acts of heroism” by four law enforcement officers were recognized at Monday’s Kenton City Council meeting. Three Kenton police officers and one Hardin County Sheriff’s deputy were honored by Kenton Chief Dennis Musser for “going beyond the call of duty” in two incidents last month.

Kenton City Council adopted the city’s 2016 spending plan and said goodbye to three members and the city auditor at its final meeting of 2015 on Monday night. The $9.8 million budget was approved unanimously on its final reading.

The Hardin County Common Pleas Court and the Clerk of Courts will be closing at noon on Thursday, Dec. 31, announced Carrie Haudenschield, Clerk of Courts.
