A Kenton assisted living facility will gain more recognition and credibility, said its nursing director, following her election to a national board. Jo Walters, director of nursing at the Blanchard Place, was elected Dec. 16 to the national board of the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration in Long-Term Care (NADONA/LTC).

Logan county teen shot and killed

BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say a 16-year-old boy died in an early morning shooting in Ohio over the weekend. The Logan County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to a Bloomfield Township home just before 4 a.m. Sunday and found the boy shot. MOUNT BLANCHARD — A refurbished rocking chair full of memories sparked tears of love in a Riverdale Elementary classroom Friday and then continued to deliver Christmas spirit through social media. Retired teacher RuthAnn Poling presented Riverdale first grade teacher Andrea Brooks with the restored rocker which had been a staple in her classroom at Ridgemont when Brooks was a student there.
