A report was taken of a broken fence at Rick’s Auto Sales, 920 W. Lima St. Upon review of the security video, a shirtless man was observed on a bicycle running around the west drive of Westview Estates and acting reckless.

The department was advised by the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office that a stolen vehicle from Seneca County was believed to be in the 800 block of Morningside Drive. The officer was able to locate the vehicle parked in front of the F building of 815 Morningside Drive.

Friday A police officer responded with an Adult Parole Authority officer to the B & J Motel for a wanted person.

Melissa M. Herzog, 17565 CR 209, Mount Victory, was southbound on N. Main St., approaching the intersection of Eliza Street, while Enrique Mendez, 410 Vine St., was stopped at the stop sign on Eliza St. facing east. Mendez pulled from the stop sign and failed to yield to Herzog, striking the vehicle. He was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign.

A gas drive-off was reported at Fuel America. After pumping the gas, the suspect walked into the store and bought other items but did not pay for the gasoline. An employee spoke with the suspect’s daughter, and then the suspect called the store and said he’d be in to pay for the gasoline. As of the time of the report, the gas had still not been paid for.

Christopher Francis, 619 S. Oak St., reported a theft from his vehicle. According to Francis, when checking to see if there was frost on the car windows, he saw the dome light on in the vehicle. He went outside to check the doors where he found the driver’s side door open and a man sitting in the seat rummaging through the vehicle.

Charlotte Kovacevich, 533 S. Detroit St., reported that she was the victim of a theft. She stated that she was looking over her banking account and noticed two fraudulent charges to the account in the amounts of $260.01 from Walmart in Reynolodsburg and $36.22 from United Dairy Farmers in Westerville.

Friday A report was received of a stolen vehicle by a named suspect at Fuel America, 311 S. Main St.

A report was received of damage to a vehicle while it was parked at 226 Henry St. Penny K. Smith, 114 N. Cherry St., came on station to report that sometime in the past two days, someone stole a push lawnmower and a jogging stroller off of her back porch.

Officers were dispatched to 611 Smith Ave. for a report of a domestic incident that occurred on Tuesday. An officer was requested at Village Pantry for a report of a possible suspicious person.
