ONU report connects opioid abuse to mental illness among juveniles ADA — A study conducted in Hardin County is getting attention far beyond the state of Ohio and it is the hope of the men who conducted the report that the information collected will have an impact on the opioid crisis globally. Judge rules man in Ada assault not guilty by reason of insanity An Ada man who fled from law enforcement and attacked a deputy’s vehicle in an incident last August was found not guilty by reason of insanity recently in the Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to court records from Prosecutor Brad Bailey's office, John Wayne Denton, 417 Highland Ave., Ada, was charged with one charge each of vandalism, felonious assault, disrupting public services and possession of criminal tools. Health board acts fast to condemn Dunkirk house The condemning of a home is normally a lengthy process, but the conditions of a house in Dunkirk required instant action by the Kenton-Hardin Board of Health on Tuesday evening. Health board hears Amish well, septic issues resolved The concerns expressed by the Kenton-Hardin Health Board regarding the wells and septic systems of new Amish homes appear to have been resolved.
