Visitors from country of Georgia get to see Ada government in action ADA — The Ada Village Council was paid a visit by Georgian government officials at its meeting on Tuesday, but not those in the U.S. state. Kenton panel backs funds for alley projects Kenton City Council’s Finance Committee is recommending additional appropriations for repaving of the alley behind the municipal building. Celebrating the Fourth Above, the sky over the Hardin County Fairgrounds was filled with color Monday night as the annual Fourth of July fireworks display entertained area residents. Recent rains a blessing for crops, farmers say After a mostly dry month of June, parts of Hardin County received nearly five inches of precipitation in two separate rainfall events last week. And while they would have preferred the rainfall to be spread out over a longer amount of time, the needed precipitation was good for the corn and soybean crops, several area farmers noted at the Hardin County Ag Council on Friday morning. County OKs tax abatement for more jobs, expansion at Ada’s Associated Plastics An Ada manufacturer of plastics for a variety of industries – including automotive, electronics and food – soon will be expanding. The Hardin County Commissioners on Thursday approved an enterprise zone agreement with Associated Plastics to give the company a 75 percent tax abatement over the next 10 years as it expands its production with five new machines and 15 more employees.
