KHS senior receives Liberty Bank scholarship Landon Bartlett, a Kenton High School senior, has received a $1,000 Liberty National Bank My Money Matters scholarship. Ada’s Dellifield moving on to D-III state meet in pole vault TIFFIN — Just one season removed from failing to qualify for the Division III regional meet, Ada pole vaulter Nora Dellifield has propelled herself to a spot at the 2019 state meet in Columbus next Friday. Dellifield cleared 10-04 at the D-III regional meet at Tiffin on Friday, good enough for a fourth place finish. Read More
Poppy campaign set in Belle Center BELLE CENTER — American Legion Auxiliary members and volunteers will distribute poppies for donations on Saturday, May 25 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Belle Center Post Office. This year’s poppy queen is Violeta Kavgazoff, the daughter of Jason and Caitlin Kavgazoff, both veterans of the armed forces, having served in Operation Enduring Freedom. She attends Sacred Heart Academy outside Robins AFB. Violeta is the granddaughter of LTC (Ret.) Dan and Melissa Johnston Molnar. Violeta has been a member of the Willard Stout American Auxiliary for four years, continuing the tradition where her family has been members since 1919. Read More

Kenton woman wraps up 34 years as baby-sitter Shortly after becoming a mom for the first time, Von Dixon started a business. She had left a job she loved at Imperial Cup to start a family at the home she shared with her husband, Chuck. Knowing a little extra money would help with the new expenses of a baby, Von announced she would be available to baby-sit and soon was watching two children in addition to her newborn son. Read More
