Raiders’ Manns jumps into 3rd straight trip to state meet PIQUA — It was a bit more difficult than the first two times, but Ben Logan’s Madison Manns is going to the Division II state track meet in the high jump for the third straight year. Ex-Army intelligence officer to be parade grand marshall In the 1960s, most enlisted men were sent to fight for their country in Vietnam, but Al Talbert's assignment took him to other destinations with equally important and no less dangerous missions. Talbert, now of Kenton, grew up in the Springfield area, the son of an Army veteran. Area athletes fall short on first day of DIII regional competition TIFFIN — It was a rough first day for area athletes as no one was able to finish among the top four finishers and earn a trip to state at the Division III regional track meet at Heidelberg University on Wednesday afternoon.
