The 1963 class of Buckeye Local School gathered at the Mount Victory Plaza on Sept. 22. This class was the first consolidated class from Rushsylvania and West Mansfield.

Members of Safe Haven and officials from the Village of Ada helped plant a butterfly bush in the village’s depot park on Tuesday afternoon. Along with the bush is a sign stating it’s being planted in memory of the victims who have lost their lives due to domestic violence, to honor the victims who are survivors of domestic violence and to give support to everyone working to end domestic violence in the community.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Normally, the Galion girls soccer team runs a 4-4-2 formation. During Tuesday’s Division III Region 10 sectional semifinal girls soccer match versus Riverdale, the Tigers’ strategy was to keep nine players behind the ball at all times, with one player playing up.

DOLA — After winning the first two games of its sectional match against Riverdale on Tuesday night, Hardin Northern went into hibernation in game three. Fortunately for the Polar Bears, alarm bells went off midway through game four as they were able to pull out a 25-14, 25-21, 22-25, 25-21 victory in the Division IV sectional semifinal.

The Kenton Culture Club met on Wednesday, Oct. 10. Host was Jan Augur and co-host was Shawn Moore.

ALGER — When most people from the area consider attending a local cultural event, traveling to Alger is normally not at the top of their lists. That changes on the first Saturday of November.
