Town and Country Creators 4-H Club met on March 25. The 4-H Advisors were introduced and told members which projects they help with. We started the meeting with a get to know each other activity. Roll call was answered with what school we went to.

Kenton plated six runs in the first inning and then matched Marion Pleasant the rest of the way in a 16-12 win over the Spartans in a non-league baseball contest on Thursday afternoon. Shawn Conover had a big day at the plate for the Wildcats with four hits, including a double, and four RBIs as Kenton jumped out to a 6-1 lead after one inning.

Clifford and Marilyn Lamb of Dunkirk are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. Cliff and the former Marilyn Judy were married on April 19, 1953 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky by Rev. William Zoltner.

ADA — A group of students at Ohio Northern University is not just learning about the state’s prison system, but connecting with inmates in a course they are likely to remember for the rest of their lives. Dr. Tristin Kilgallon is a criminal justice professor at ONU and three years ago established the Inside-Out Prison Exchange at the university.

Members of the cast of Ada High School’s “And Then There Were None” presented a portion of the production to students at the school on Wednesday. The play is based on an Agatha Christie mystery.

Kenton High School students were told that it takes much more than having outstanding athletic ability to get the chance to compete at the collegiate level. During the college coaches forum for KHS student athletes and parents on Wednesday night, the five coaches that participated all said that while they look at athletic talent, they also look at the individual.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — It took extra innings, but the Riverdale Falcons came out on top against Arlington 5-4 in Wednesday’s Blanchard Valley Conference baseball matchup. After taking a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first, the Falcons built on their lead to make it 2-0 in the fourth.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Arlington defeated Riverdale 24-0 in a Blanchard Valley Coference softball game on Wednesday. Natalie Schoenberger had the Falcons’ only hit in the contest.

Hardin Hills Health and Rehab Center residents have fun at the monthly birthday party. They were served cupcakes and punch and entertained by Happy Daz Entertainment.
