ADA – When his community needed him most, Ian Fogle stepped up to the challenge. This month, Fogle begins his term as the youngest councilman in the history of the Logan County village of West Mansfield, which has a population of about 700 residents.

ADA — The Ada Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a subject who robbed the 302 Carryout in Ada on Wednesday night. At approximately 11:30 p.m., police said an unknown white male wearing a dark blue hoodie and dark colored sweat pants robbed the store at 302 S. Main St., Ada, of an undisclosed amount of money.

McGUFFEY — Holding a 16-point lead over Upper Scioto Valley early in the third quarter, the Ridgemont Lady Gophers surrendered a 10-0 run to see the gap close to six with just under three minutes to go in the stanza. Following a timeout, Ridgemont refocused and got nearly all its points back by closing out the third quarter with a 9-0 run before going on to finish off the Lady Rams, 66-51, in Northwest Central Conference play on Thursday night.

ADA — Ada and Lima Central Catholic were tied two minutes into the fourth quarter during their girls basketball matchup on Thursday night. A Lady Thunderbirds 35-14 advantage on the boards proved to be too much for Ada to overcome as LCC broke open the tight game with a 13-3 run over the next five minutes on the way to a 51-39 victory over the host Bulldogs.
