DOLA — The Hardin Northern boys and girls track teams swept a tri-meet with Upper Scioto Valley and Lime Temple Christian on Tuesday. In the boys meet, the Polar Bears edged the Rams 71-60. LTC finished with 20 points.

River Valley swept a track meet with Kenton and Calvary Christian at Robinson Field on Tuesday night. The Viking girls finished with 98 points, while Kenton ended up with 64 and Calvary Christian had 4.

ADA — Ada got offensive contributions from throughout its lineup on Tuesday as seven Bulldogs had RBIs in a 12-2 five-inning softball win over Ottoville. Madisyn Gossard had two singles and two RBIs and Teara Coulson added two RBIs as the Bulldogs took control with a five-run first inning and put the game out of reach with a five-run fourth frame.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Allen East scored six runs in the first inning to take control on the way to a 13-3 non-league softball victory over Riverdale on Tuesday. The Falcons, who scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and one in the seventh, received two singles and an RBI from Hannah Morris.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale committed six errors in the second and third innings, leading to 13 Allen East runs as the Mustangs topped the Falcons 14-6 in a non-league baseball game on Tuesday. The Falcons, who fall to 7-2 on the season, allowed 12 unearned runs over those two innings as Allen East scored six times in the second and seven times in the third.

It was a beautiful spring day as Kappa and Lambda Chapters of Delta Kappa Gamma Intl. joined together at We Luv Yogurt in Upper Sandusky at 10 a.m. April 8. Kappa Co-Presidents Kathy Lundy and Virginia Shellhouse welcomed thirty-three members and the speaker to celebrate DKG Founders' Day.

Ada VFW Post 9381 and VFW of Ohio Charities donated 13 cases (156 boxes) of Girl Scout cookies to Vancrest of Ada on Monday morning.

Four Hardin County high school seniors received the Franklin B. Walter Scholastic Award for academic achievement, personal goals and community service. They were recognized, along with an influential educator, during a banquet and ceremony April 4 at Ridgemont Local School.

McGUFFEY — Ridgemont’s Garrett Pitz crossed home plate with the winning run in the top of the seventh inning on a botched forced play at second base by Upper Scioto Valley as the Gophers topped the Rams 8-7 in Northwest Central Conference baseball action on Monday night.
