AE outslugs Polar Bears

HARROD — Hardin Northern scored three runs in the top of first inning, but the Polar Bears could not keep Allen East off the scoreboard as the Mustangs plated eight runs of their own in the first frame in pulling away to a 16-4 non-league baseball victory on Wednesday.

Ft. Jennings blasts Ada

FORT JENNINGS — Host Fort Jennings scored four runs in the first and added eight in the second in a 13-0 five-inning win over Ada in non-league baseball action on Wednesday. Colton Shaffer, Aaron Everhart and Tyson Moore had singles for the Bulldogs, who were held to three hits in the game.

Indian Lake hangs on against Ben Logan

LEWISTOWN — Indian Lake scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning and then held off Ben Logan the rest of the way for a 3-2 Central Buckeye Conference softball victory over the Raiders on Wednesday. Olivia Roose hit a triple and Kylie Frazier, Haley Wilson and Jaz McKeen had two hits each to lead the Raiders at the plate.

Allen East hold off HN

HARROD — Allen East took an early lead and then held off Hardin Northern for an 8-7 non-league softball win Wednesday afternoon. After falling behind 4-0 after one inning and 7-3 after two frames, the Polar Bears pulled within 7-5 after three innings.

Wildcats boys, girls claim Hardin County track titles

MOUNT BLANCHARD — The Kenton boys won eight events and the girls had seven first place finishes as the Wildcats swept the team titles at the Hardin County Track Meet at Riverdale High School on Tuesday afternoon. The Wildcat boys swept all four relays and got wins in both hurdle events and a pair of field events on the way to a 154 1/2 points. Ada was second with 126 points.

Ada tennis gets past Celina 3-2

ADA — The Ada boys tennis team won two of the three singles matches and split in doubles play to claim a 3-2 victory over Celina on Tuesday afternoon. In singles play, Ada’s Zach Beaschler was a 6-0, 6-1 winner over Bryce Langenkamp and Isaac Spar topped Collin Harris 7-6 (7-1), 6-1.

Bluffton edges KHS tennis

Bluffton edged Kenton 3-2 in a non-league boys tennis match on Tuesday afternoon. Winning for Kenton were Taj Chahal at No. 2 singles (6-4, 6-0) and the first doubles team of Andrew Boyer and Cruz Bryant (7-6, 6-1).
