HN softball edges Perry

DOLA — Hardin Northern scored four runs in each of the last three innings it batted in rallying for a 12-10 victory over Lima Perry in Northwest Central Conference softball action on Tuesday afternoon. The Polar Bears trailed 3-0 before scoring four runs in the bottom of the fourth and four more in the fifth to go up 8-3.

Lady Raiders shut out by Spr. Northwestern

SPRINGFIELD — Springfield Northwestern jumped on top early and never was threatened on the way to a 12-0 win over Ben Logan in Central Buckeye Conference softball action on Tuesday. The hosts, who held Ben Logan to three hits, scored three runs in both the first and second inning and added three more in the fourth before finishing off the game with two in the sixth inning.

Falcons take advantage of Bluffton miscues

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale took advantage of nine Bluffton errors on the way to a 20-5 non-conference baseball win on Tuesday afternoon. The Falcons, who plated five runs in the first inning and six in both the second and third frames, received two hits and three RBIs each from Alec Loveridge and Brock Davis.

Perry blasts Polar Bears

DOLA — Perry scored seven runs in the first inning and added 12 more in the second on the way to a 21-2 win over Hardin Northern in Northwest Central Conference baseball action on Tuesday. The Polar Bears, who fall to 0-14 overall and 0-4 in NWCC action, finished with two hits in the game, singles by Owen Wetherill and Daylin Pees.

Big innings propel LCC to victory over Ada

LIMA — Lima Central Catholic had two seven-run innings and a six-run inning on the way to a 20-1 five-inning win over Ada in non-league baseball action on Tuesday. The Bulldogs, who drop to 4-12 on the season, had two hits in the game including an RBI double by Austin Amburgey in the fourth inning.
