BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan senior Stevie Plikerd has been a leader on the track for the Lady Raiders the last three years, earning Central Buckeye Conference athlete of the year honors as a junior and qualifying for the Division II state meet in the long jump as a sophomore.

ELIDA — Ben Logan swept Elida 22-4, 11-6 in a non-league softball doubleheader on Saturday. Bailey Shope had a big game for the Raiders in game one smacking three hits with a triple, a double and six RBIs.

JACKSON CENTER — The Upper Scioto Valley softball team picked up its first win of the season on Friday, pulling away for a 16-5 six-inning win over Jackson Center. Haley Hunsicker had four hits with a triple and four RBIs to lead the Rams at the plate.

JACKSON CENTER — Jayvin Castle had a home run, a double and six RBIs to lead Upper Scioto Valley to a 19-9 win over Jackson Center in non-league baseball action on Friday. Jayden Evans added three hits and three RBIs and Jason Moots had three hits with a triple and two RBIs for the Rams, who plated nine runs in the first inning.

FINDLAY — The Hardin Northern boys and girls track teams both finished 15th of 18 teams at the Liberty-Benton Invitational on Saturday. The boys team finished with 10 points.

ADA — Ada scored five runs in the second inning and added seven more in the third frame on the way to a 13-0 win over Vanlue in non-league softball action on Friday. Sydney Newland had two hits including a double and three RBIs, Alexis Ennis had three hits and two RBIs and Kaiti Newland added a double and two RBIs to lead a balanced Ada attack at the plate.

DELPHOS — Delphos Jefferson shut out Riverdale 10-0 in a non-league baseball game on Saturday. The host Wildcats scored one run in the first, two in the second and three in the third before putting the game away with four runs in the fifth frame.

DOLA — Arcadia tallied three or more runs in each of the first four innings it batted on the way to a 15-0 win over Hardin Northern in a non-league baseball game on Saturday. The Polar Bears were held to just one hit in the game - a single by Hunter Jolliff.

Veterans Memorial Park Golf Course finally sprung its first outing of the season with the Icebreaker. The team of Greg McClain, Doug Wright, Darrin Fogel and Drew Hobensack finished first with a 91.
