FINDLAY — Riverdale has felt heartbreak against Liberty-Benton repeatedly over the past few seasons. On Wednesday, the Falcon girls soccer team found jubilation with a come-from-behind 2-1 road victory. Lexie Wright scored both second-half goals, including the go-ahead score with 14:25 remaining, snapping a seven-match losing streak for Riverdale against Liberty-Benton.

The Kenton football team will try and make it two wins in a row when it travels to Wapakoneta to meet the Redskins on Friday night. While both teams enter the game with 1-2 marks, Wildcat coach Brent Fackler knows his team is going to have to take its game to another level to be successful against the Redskins,

MOUNT BLANCHARD — The Riverdale volleyball team lost in three sets to Blanchard Valley Conference opponent Arcadia on Wednesday.

Hardin Northern hopes to snap a two-game skid when it hosts winless Perry on the football field Friday night. The Polar Bears (1-2) enter the game off back-to-back losses to Riverdale and Lakeside Danbury.

ARLINGTON — Brady Hipsher earned medalist honors with a 38 as the Upper Scioto Valley golf team defeated Riverdale 182-211 at Sycamore Springs golf course on Wednesday.

BELLEFONTAINE — Bellefontaine edged Ben Logan 2-1 in a Central Buckeye League boys soccer match on Wednesday. The Raiders, who fall to 5-3 overall and 1-2 in league play, received their lone goal from George Kern.

The Kenton girls golf team defeated Ridgemont 183-201 in its last match of the season on Wednesday at Memorial Park Golf Course. Ridgemont’s Danielle Mouser was the medalist. No other information was received on the match.

DOLA — Hardin Northern’s Madison Robson set them up and her attackers put them away in the Lady Polar Bears’ straight-set win over Riverdale on Tuesday night. The Polar Bears won the non-conference volleyball match at home by scores of 25-4, 25-16, 25-10.

ADA — After a sluggish start, the Ada volleyball team put it together in a 25-19, 25-8, 25-16 rout of visiting Bluffton on Tuesday night. The Bulldogs, who received a team-high 27 kills and 3 blocks from Melina Woods, improved to 5-4 on the season and are now 1-0 in NWC play.
