ADA — The Ada volleyball team got its season off to a good start on Saturday, cruising past Cory-Rawson and Waynesfield-Goshen during a tri-match. The Bulldogs defeated Cory-Rawson 25-14, 25-16 in the first match of the day behind a 14 kill and 3 block performance from Melina Woods.

BELLEFONTAINE — The host Benjamin Logan volleyball team came up short in its season opener against London, falling in four sets 25-22, 21-25, 25-22, 25-16.

RAWSON — Six different Riverdale players scored goals as the Lady Falcons cruised to a 7-0 win over Cory-Rawson in their season-opener on Friday night.

BERLIN — Berlin Hiland took control of the game with three first half goals on the way to a 5-2 win over Riverdale in boys season-opening soccer action on Friday night.

MARION — Kenton took two of three singles matches, but could not pull out a win in doubles as the Lady Wildcats suffered a 3-2 loss to Marion Harding on Friday. Winning in singles action for the Wildcats were Abby Hartshorn and Kelsey Flowers.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan Middle School volleyball teams opened their season by defeating Riverside and Ridgemont in a tri-match on Saturday The seventh Raiders defeated Riverside 25-18, 26-24 in their first match.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Kenton Wildcat boys soccer team looked in mid-season form for its season opener Friday night against Springfield in the 2017 Quest Cup at Benjamin Logan High School. After two early first-half goals, the Wildcats put in six in the second half to finish off Springfield 8-0.

With one week to go until they open the season against Coldwater, the Kenton football team used its “jamboree” scrimmage against Brooke (West Virginia) High School to get a gauge on where they are on both sides of the football.

CELINA — The Kenton golf team defeated Celina in a Western Buckeye League match on Thursday afternoon.
