The Trophy Bassmasters had another successful outing at Lake Erie this past weekend as 14 anglers brought in 64 fish with a total weight of 149.94 pounds and 10 of the 14 members hit the five-fish limit. Once again John Clark proved his dominance as he easily bettered the field by over three pounds.

The Kenton girls tennis team won two of the three singles matches and its second doubles pairing of Lexi Phillips and Elizabeth Heintz came away with a three-set victory as the Wildcats defeated Mansfield St. Peter’s 3-2 on Tuesday afternoon.

UPPER SANDUSKY — Kenton took all three singles matches as the Lady Wildcats edged Upper Sandusky 3-2 in season-opening girls tennis action on Monday. At No. 1 singles, Kenton’s Mykaela Schriber cruised past Sydney Schryer 6-2, 6-0; while in the second singles match Abigail Hartshorn needed three sets to get past Abby Davidson 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 and in the No. 3 match Kelsey Flowers bested Dani Conigy 6-1, 6-3.

Rocco Longbrake shot a season-low score of 37 for Kenton on the back nine at Memorial Park Golf Course as the host Wildcats played Bath to a 167-167 tie in Western Buckeye League golf action on Monday afternoon.

BELLEFONTAINE — Will Kenoyer fired a 36 to earn medalist honors and Garrett Allen added a 38 as Ben Logan defeated Indian Lake 158-204 in a Central Buckeye Conference boys golf match on Monday. In addition, Bryce Loomis shot a 40 and Ethan Ricketts netted a 44 for the Raiders.

BLUFFTON — Arlington outshot Ada 192-228 in a high school boys golf match on Monday afternoon. Alex Morgan carded a 52 to lead Ada.

A large group of former players came out on Saturday night for the annual Kenton High School soccer alumni game.

The Kenton golf team shot a 369 to finish ninth of 19 teams at the Celina Invitational on Friday afternoon.

Kenton City Schools is offering senior citizen passes for athletic events to all district residents age 65 and older in the high school office beginning Monday. Senior citizen passes, which are valid for all Kenton athletic regular season contests, are now a lifetime pass and will no longer need to be renewed annually.
