KHS girls sweep singles in opener against Rams

UPPER SANDUSKY — Kenton took all three singles matches as the Lady Wildcats edged Upper Sandusky 3-2 in season-opening girls tennis action on Monday. At No. 1 singles, Kenton’s Mykaela Schriber cruised past Sydney Schryer 6-2, 6-0; while in the second singles match Abigail Hartshorn needed three sets to get past Abby Davidson 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 and in the No. 3 match Kelsey Flowers bested Dani Conigy 6-1, 6-3.

Senior citizen passes available to KCS residents

Kenton City Schools is offering senior citizen passes for athletic events to all district residents age 65 and older in the high school office beginning Monday. Senior citizen passes, which are valid for all Kenton athletic regular season contests, are now a lifetime pass and will no longer need to be renewed annually.
