Beaschler one win away from return to state tennis tourney

BOWLING GREEN — Ada High School junior Zach Beaschler is one win away from returning to the Division II state tennis tournament. The Bulldog cruised through his first two matches on Thursday by scores of 6-0, 6-0 to earn a spot in the district semifinals during the first day of the Division II district tennis meet at Bowling Green State University.

‘Cats fall to Lexington in 11 innings

TIFFIN — Kenton’s Heath Houser was just two outs from a fifth-straight scoreless inning and a complete-game win against Lexington in a Division II district semifinal baseball game on Thursday. But a pair of back-to-back hits from the Minutemen brought a runner home to tie the game at 3-3, sending it into extra innings.

Kenton football camp set to begin May 30

The Kenton High School football program will hold its annual football camp in three sessions from May 30 through June 7. Session I, for students entering grades 1-6, will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p .m. May 30-June 2; session II for students entering grades 9-12 will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 5; and Session III, for students entering grades 7 and 8, will be from 7 a.m. to noon June 6 and 7.
