ONU women remain unbeaten

NEW CONCORD — The No. 6-ranked Ohio Northern women's basketball team clinched at least a share of the Ohio Athletic Conference regular season title with an 86-78 victory at Muskingum on Saturday. The Polar Bears stay undefeated on the season at 21-0 overall and improve to 14-0 in the OAC.

Quick start propels Miller City over Falcons

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Miller City took control early, outscoring Riverdale by 29 points in the first half on the way to a 61-31 boys basketball victory over the host Falcons on Saturday night. The visiting Wildcats led 21-3 after eight minutes and 38-9 by halftime as they improved to 11-4 this season.

Lady Raiders topple IL on senior night

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan girls basketball team defeated Indian Lake 56-34 to wrap up its third consecutive Central Buckeye Conference Mad River Division crown on Saturday. Darian Rockhold had 12 points and Savannah Pavoni added 11 to lead the Raiders, who improve to 13-7 overall and 8-3 in CBC play.

Polar Bear men win

ADA — Senior Devon Allen scored four of his game-high 24 points in the final 28 seconds to lead Ohio Northern to a 101-96 men’s basketball victory over Muskingum on Saturday afternoon. The Polar Bears (14-7 overall, 12-2 Ohio Athletic Conference) run their winning streak to nine games and remain in first place in the league standings.

Rose, Dotson lead Rams to win

McGUFFEY — In the final game on their home court, Upper Scioto Valley seniors Chase Rose and Trevor Dotson led their team to a 60-33 boys basketball win over Waynesfield-Goshen Friday night. Dotson recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Rose’s 17 points were a game-high as they helped improve the Rams’ record to 12-5 overall, 5-1 in the Northwest Central Conference. The Tigers drop to 1-15, 1-4.
