ADA — Host Ada started off flat-footed when the Lady Bulldogs matched up with Hardin Northern on Monday night - allowing the Polar Bears baskets on their first two possessions and committing a 10-second violation.

ANGOLA, Ind. — The Ohio Northern men's basketball team wrapped up its non-conference schedule with a 78-70 loss at Trine (Ind.) on Saturday afternoon at Hershey Hall.

McGUFFEY — Trailing Miller City by four points midway through the fourth quarter, Upper Scioto Valley’s Dylan Thompson swished back-to-back three-pointers to put the Rams on top of Miller City by two points.

ROCKFORD — Despite having three scorers in double figures, Hardin Northern was taken down by Delphos Jefferson 74-44 in the Parkway Holiday Tournament Friday afternoon. Leading the way for the Polar Bears (2-4 overall) was Zachary Wilhelm who put up 15 points and snagged four rebounds.

ROCKFORD — Ridgemont was handed a narrow 51-47 loss to Lincolnview in girls basketball action Friday night at the Parkway Chatt Insurance Holiday Tournament. The Gophers, now 7-3 on the season, were led by Priscilla Howland with 17 points and 12 rebounds.

WAPAKONETA — A slow start doomed the Riverdale Falcon girls basketball team against undefeated Dayton Carroll, losing 64-40 in the TSC Wapakoneta Tournament Friday night. The Falcons (6-4) found themselves down 11-5 after the first quarter and were outscored by Dayton Carroll (12-0) 23-9 in the second, trailing 34-14 at the half.

ADA — The No. 17-ranked Ohio Northern women's basketball team stayed perfect on the season as it defeated Westfield State (Mass.) 82-65 Friday evening in Nashville, Tenn., during the second day of the Music City Classic. The Polar Bears move to 11-0 overall, while the Owls drop to 6-6 on the season.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale trailed 9-0 to start the game against North Union Thursday night, unable to put any points on the board until just over a minute to go in the first quarter.

ROCKFORD — Priscilla Howland had 14 points as the Ridgemont girls basketball team edged host Parkway 52-49 in the opening game of the Chatt Insurance Holiday Tournament on Thursday afternoon.
