CAREY — The Carey girls track and field team used a total team effort to repeat as champions of their home meet on a cold early-April afternoon.

McGUFFEY — Upper Scioto Valley scored 26 runs Saturday as it swept Ada in a nonconference baseball doubleheader.

LONDON — The Ben Logan girls track and field team finished second out of 11 teams Friday night at the Red Raider Relays hosted by London High School. Bexley won the meet with 82 points, three more than Ben Logan.

RIVERSIDE — Konner Caudill and Cole Waugh combined on a three-hit shutout Friday night to lead Ben Logan to a 4-0 victory over Stebbins in baseball action.

ADA — Junior Kayla Reuss scored with 29 seconds left to lift the Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team to a thrilling 12-11 victory over NCAA Division II foe Ursuline on Friday night at Dial-Roberson Stadium.

LEWISTOWN — The Kenton baseball team made it three straight one-run victories to start the season Wednesday with a 6-5 come-from-behind win over Indian Lake. The Wildcats (3-0) scored three runs in the top of the second to take an early lead. But Indian Lake scored five straight runs to go ahead 5-3 after four innings.

GALION — Kenton won its third straight tennis match to open the season Wednesday, topping Galion 3-2. The Wildcats changed their lineup from the first two matches and the doubles teams cruised.

HARROD — Hardin Northern trailed 11-9 after three innings Wednesday in a nonconference softball game, but rallied for a 14-12 victory over Allen East. The Polar Bears (2-2) tied the game with a pair of runs in the top of the fourth and took the lead for good with two runs in the top of the fifth.

LEWISTOWN — Indian Lake scored eight runs in the third inning to jump out to a 10-run lead and held on to defeat Kenton 13-5 in nonconference softball on Wednesday.

RIDGEWAY — Ben Logan defeated Ridgemont 13-6 in nonconference softball Wednesday. Ridgemont scored in the bottom of the first to take a 1-0 lead and the score was tied 3-3 after three innings.
