Raider girls place second at meet

LONDON — The Ben Logan girls track and field team finished second out of 11 teams Friday night at the Red Raider Relays hosted by London High School. Bexley won the meet with 82 points, three more than Ben Logan.

Kenton gets third straight one-run win to open year

LEWISTOWN — The Kenton baseball team made it three straight one-run victories to start the season Wednesday with a 6-5 come-from-behind win over Indian Lake. The Wildcats (3-0) scored three runs in the top of the second to take an early lead. But Indian Lake scored five straight runs to go ahead 5-3 after four innings.

KHS captures third straight match

GALION — Kenton won its third straight tennis match to open the season Wednesday, topping Galion 3-2. The Wildcats changed their lineup from the first two matches and the doubles teams cruised.

Polar Bears outslug Allen East

HARROD — Hardin Northern trailed 11-9 after three innings Wednesday in a nonconference softball game, but rallied for a 14-12 victory over Allen East. The Polar Bears (2-2) tied the game with a pair of runs in the top of the fourth and took the lead for good with two runs in the top of the fifth.

Ben Logan defeats Gophers

RIDGEWAY — Ben Logan defeated Ridgemont 13-6 in nonconference softball Wednesday. Ridgemont scored in the bottom of the first to take a 1-0 lead and the score was tied 3-3 after three innings.
