Raiders cruise to CBC victory

ST. PARIS — Ben Logan dominated the third quarter Wednesday night to take complete control in a 60-40 girls basketball victory over Graham in Central Buckeye Conference play. The Raiders (6-1, 3-0 CBC) led 32-22 at halftime and 52-26 after three quarters.

Ben Logan seeks HOF nominees

The Benjamin Logan Athletic Department is accepting nominations for the 2015 Athletic Hall of Fame. Nominations must be made in writing with information supporting the candidate and why they are worthy of being voted into the Benjamin Logan Athletic Hall of Fame. 

Sims leads Raider swimmers

BELLEFONTAINE — Jaden Sims led Ben Logan in a swim meet Tuesday against Bellefontaine, Botkins and Minster. Sims won the boys 200-yard individual medley in 2:23.41 and added a fourth-place finish in the 100 butterfly in 1:12.95.

Ben Logan bowlers grab win

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan defeated Dayton Stebbins 2,607-2,406 in boys bowling Wednesday. Logan Wenger had a 266 game to lead the Raiders. Trevor Boger rolled a 205 and Tyler Nicholas shot a 200.

Sautter scores 30 to lead Ada by R’mont

ADA — Brayden Sautter put on a show in the first half Tuesday night. Sautter scored 15 points in the first quarter, 24 in the first half and finished with 30 as he led Ada to a 71-52 victory over Ridgemont in nonconference boys basketball.

Big run pushes USV by Kenton girls, 60-46

A 23-point second-quarter run for Upper Scioto Valley erased an 18-4 deficit and helped them to remain undefeated with a 60-46 win over Kenton on Tuesday night in girls basketball action. It was the Lady Wildcats who appeared to have everything going for them early on.

Free throws propel BL to victory

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan shot 19-of-23 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter Tuesday to hold off Kenton Ridge for a 73-66 win in a Central Buckeye Conference boys basketball crossover game. Ben Logan (3-2) led by six at halftime, but Kenton Ridge cut the deficit to four after three quarters.

HN wins in blowout

DOLA — Hardin Northern dominated Mansfield Temple Christian in nonconference girls basketball Tuesday night. The Polar Bears (4-3) won 72-19.

Gophers grab 4th victory

POWELL — Ridgemont defeated Village Academy 44-29 on Tuesday night in nonconference girls basketball. The Gophers (4-2) were led by Priscilla Howland, who scored 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
