PAULDING — Paulding defeated Ada 5-0 in a Northwest Conference baseball game on Monday afternoon. The host Panthers plated a run in the second inning and two in the third before completing the scoring with single runs in the fifth and sixth frames.

MARION — Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association is celebrating its 33rd season of serving area youth ages 9-18 within seven Central Ohio counties of Marion, Crawford, Delaware, Hardin, Morrow, Union and Wyandot. The non-profit, all-volunteer association was started in 1987 to educate juniors through a golf camp, seminar, 7-tournament tour, awards and scholarships toward college education.

Kenton was unable to match St. Marys offensive output as the Roughriders topped Kenton 6-3 in a Western Buckeye League softball contest on Thursday afternoon. The Roughriders scored single runs in six of the seven innings they batted on the way to the victory.

RIDGEWAY — Marion Harding scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning in a 16-14 non-league softball win over Ridgemont on Thursday afternoon. The Gophers, who fall to 9-7 on the season, led 4-2 after two innings and 9-5 after four innings before Harding plated five in the top of the fifth to take a 10-9 lead.

WAYNESFIELD — The Ben Logan boys track team finished first and the Lady Raiders were second at the 11-team Waynesfield-Goshen Tiger Invitational on Thursday afternoon. The Raider boys scored 158 points to outdistance second place Indian Lake, which ended up with 131 points. Ridgemont was 11th with 10 points.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale took control of the game with four runs in the third inning and put it out of reach with six in the fourth on the way to a 14-4 non-conference softball victory over Waynesfield-Goshen on Thursday.

RAWSON — After a slow start, Hardin Northern got its bats going with seven runs in the third inning on the way to a 16-4 non-league softball win over Cory-Rawson on Thursday. After the big third inning, the Polar Bears added a run in the fourth inning and scored four more times in both the fifth and sixth inning.

RAWSON — Cory-Rawson scored seven runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to rally for an 11-10 victory over Hardin Northern in a non-league baseball game on Thursday. Trailing 4-2 going into the sixth inning, the Polar Bears scored four times in the sixth and four more times in the seventh to take a 10-4 lead into the bottom of the frame.
