Holly Layman Cannode, owner The Sweet Note Cafe at 16 N. Main St., Kenton, cuts the ribbon during a ceremony at her business on Tuesday morning to celebrate joining the Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance. Helping with the ribbon are her son, Shawn Layman Cannode and husband, Todd  Cannode. She said the business has been around since 2015, starting in her kitchen at home. She said they were hit hard by Covid-19 but they were back open full-time starting in September of 2021. The bakery cafe serves fresh-to-order lunches like salads and panini. They also do cakes, caramels, candies, and cupcakes.
