Rose Zuchetto made the motion for adjournment and Shawn Moore seconded. Rose then introduced Linda Smith – who presented an informative and interesting program about the Women of the Bible.

Linda asked the members to list ten women of the Bible. The members were quizzed froma handout about many of the Bibical women. Sarah, Rehab, Ruth, Hannah, Mary, Anna, the women at the well, Mary, Martha, Mary Magdalene and Lydia.

Linda went into detail about Eve, the Mother of All Living. Eve was the flawless archetype of feminine excellence. The focus of the biblical account is on Eve’s duty to her Creator and her role alongside her husband. Scriptures gives us no physical description of her. We are given a detailed account of temptation, the curse that was placed on her and the hope that she clung to.

Many of the women of the Bible had questionable lives but Jesus was often drawn to them, seeking them out and making believers of them

Many of the women that Linda talked about had several things in common. They had undying faith, diligence, generosity, wisdom, devotion and courage.
