Evelyn Wheeler Posted on May 21, 2021 0 [adinserter block="4"] Evelyn Marie Wheeler, age 95, of Indianapolis, Indiana (formerly of Kenton, Ohio) passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021. She will be laid to rest privately at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, Indiana. [am4show have=’g1;g2;g3;’ guest_error=’No Access’ ] Evelyn was born January 6, 1926 in Carroll, Iowa to the late Minnie Mary (Rutten) Snyder and Matt H. Snyder. Evelyn worked until she was 72 years old when she retired from running the accounts payable for a group of nine nursing homes in Florida. She enjoyed playing cards, college football (especially Ohio State) and pro football (Tampa Bay Bucs) and playing Bingo. Her favorite sport to watch was the PGA Tour and Tiger Woods. Evelyn is survived by her husband of 75 years and the love of her life, John D. Wheeler; sons, Dan Wheeler (Jane) and Ron Wheeler (Patricia); seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by son, Michael Wheeler; father Matt Snyder; mother, Minnie (Rutten) Snyder; sister, Millie Dion; brothers, Leonard, Marvin and Rudell Snyder. [/am4show]
