Women’s Holiday Celebration held

Twenty-four tables were beautifully decorated by hostesses at the St. John’s United Church of Christ Women’s Holiday Celebration on Nov. 19. Guests toured the room to view the uniquely decorated tables as Hope Cauley played Christmas music on the grand piano.

U.S. Air Force Airman Tanner L. Risner graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Services for Rick L. Moore will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the St. John’s United Church of Christ in Kenton by Pastor Jason R. Manns. Burial will follow in Wolfcreek Cemetery.

Hunters check 73,399 deer

COLUMBUS — Hunters checked 73,399 white-tailed deer during Ohio’s 2015 deer-gun hunting season, Nov. 30-Dec. 6, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR). This represents a significant increase over last year’s harvest of 65,484 deer.
