ADA — There’s a new solution to the drainage problem in the Ada Schools’ orchestra pit, but the completion deadline of Christmas will remain Christmas. Mike Lenhart, head of maintenance and transportation for Ada Schools, reported that the project architect for the drainage problem in the orchestra pit of the auditorium advised against the previous plan of drilling into the newly sealed floor.

Home Savings and Loan kicked off its annual Christmas drive this week. ADA — The Ada Board of Education received an update of the school’s success in the 2014-2015 state assessment results. Principal Robin VanBuskirk reported that the school met 19 out of 22 indicators on its state results.

BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio - The Ohio Hi-Point Career Center recently announced the career center’s Superintendent’s List, Honor Roll and half-day Honor Roll for the first nine weeks. To be eligible for the Superintendent’s List students must receive all A’s, while Honor Roll students must receive letter grades of B or better.

Kenton High School Student Council collected a record 4,600 items during its annual food drive competition Nov. 16-20, announced Ashley Anderson, advisor. The previous record was 4,000 established a year ago.

Local veterans may be eligible for a holiday ham this Christmas. The Veterans Service Commission announced it will sponsor the Holiday Ham program for the local veterans and their widows who are in need of financial assistance.

FOREST — The Forest-Jackson Public Library will be holding its annual Soup & Salad Open House from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6. A salad bar and a variety of soups will be available for a free will offering that benefits the library.
