The Alger Council’s Finance Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday in council chambers.

New plan to fix drainage problem in Ada auditorium

ADA — There’s a new solution to the drainage problem in the Ada Schools’ orchestra pit, but the completion deadline of Christmas will remain Christmas. Mike Lenhart, head of maintenance and transportation for Ada Schools, reported that the project architect for the drainage problem in the orchestra pit of the auditorium advised against the previous plan of drilling into the newly sealed floor.

Annual drive

Home Savings and Loan kicked off its annual Christmas drive this week. Ann Brown (left) and Shannon Larrabee stand at the barrels into which patrons and guests are invited to drop off food items and toys. The barrels, located in the lobby of the Kenton business, and donations, including monetary contributions, will be accepted through Dec. 10.

Hi-Point announces fall honor roll students

BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio - The Ohio Hi-Point Career Center recently announced the career center’s Superintendent’s List, Honor Roll and half-day Honor Roll for the first nine weeks. To be eligible for the Superintendent’s List students must receive all A’s, while Honor Roll students must receive letter grades of B or better.
