The Hardin County Common Pleas Court and the Clerk of Courts will be closing at noon on Thursday, Dec. 31, announced Carrie Haudenschield, Clerk of Courts.

LIMA — Kia N. Smith of Kenton has been named to the President’s List for Fall Quarter 2015 in the College of Occupational Professions at the University of Northwestern Ohio. Full- and part-time students must receive a grade point average of 4.0 to be named to the President’s List.

LIMA — The Kenton girls swimming team won two individual events Saturday at the Holiday Invitational hosted by Lima Central Catholic to place fourth out of 15 teams.

A celebration of life service for Edward Cortes Evans will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the West Mansfield United Methodist Church. Graveside services will follow at Hale Cemetery, Mount Victory.
