ONU Wind Orchestra plans Feb. 25 concert

ADA — The Ohio Northern University Department of Music presents the ONU Wind Orchestra on Thursday, Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Freed Center for the Performing Arts. The ONU Wind Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Thomas A. Hunt, presents a program of music for winds and percussion, including James Barnes’ Third Symphony, David Maslanka’s “Mother Earth,” and Rolf Rudin’s “Aufbruch.”

Ada grad re-enlists

Sergeant Kimberly S. Paquet (right) re-enlisted in the United States Army on Feb. 15. She is a 2008 graduate of Ada High School and daughter of John and Beth Howard of Ada.

Live life to the fullest: Winter blues

With the temperature being extremely chilly lately, you might find yourself stuck indoors more than you'd like suffering from a case of the winter blues. (If your winter blues are severe, you may have Seasonal Affective Disorder and you might want to consult your doctor on ways to combat it.)

Club 250 raffle winners noted

Kenton-Hardin County Soroptimist International has named the winners of its Club 250 raffle. They are Bill Hillegass – week 9 (Feb. 1), Stan Schrader – week 10 (Feb. 8) and Marvin Sallee – week 11 (Feb. 15).
