The Hardin County Cattle Producers will hold their annual Beef Banquet on Saturday, March 26 in the Community Building at the fairgrounds, starting at 6 p.m.

Twenty-six members of the Ambassador Class of Faith Baptist Church met Monday at 6 p.m. at the church in the fellowship room. Following the invocation, the group enjoyed pizza and a carry-in meal provided by the attendees.

ADA — A new sport will be debuting on the Hardin County athletic landscape Saturday. Ohio Northern University is scheduled to play its first varsity lacrosse games with a home doubleheader to kick off the new chapter for the Polar Bears.

FINDLAY — Several area students who attend the University of Findlay were awarded endowed scholarships for the 2015-2016 academic year. Taylor Allen of Forest was awarded the Emerson D. and Laura E. Pelton Scholarship.

Riverdale FFA member Lizzy Shane has advanced to the district public speaking contest. Lizzy, along with Maria Shane, competed in the beginning prepared contest at the sub-district public speaking contest.

Latham Chapter 364 Order of the Eastern Star met Monday evening, Feb. 15 at the Masonic Temple. The Associate Matron, Roberta Flinn presided over the meeting in the absence of the worthy matron.

Kappa Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Intl. invites all active and retired teachers and other school personnel to attend a tour of the Mazza Museum in Findlay on Saturday, March 5 at 10 a.m. There is a $3 fee for the tour of this museum for children's books.
