The Columbus Zoo will bring a variety of animals to the Hardin County Fair again this year for its show set for 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7.

The Hardin County Fair Beef Department is issuing a correction to the Hardin County Fair Premium Book. According to beef department superintendent Dale Cockerell, the market beef weigh-in will be on Monday, Sept. 3 from 4 to 5 p.m., beginning with beef feeders.

Hardin County Fair season tickets are now on sale all over the county. This $20 ticket allows one adult and that person’s school age children accompanied by the person free admission to the fair each day of the fair.

Camping issues highlighted Wednesday’s meeting of the Hardin County Agricultural Society. Twenty directors and seven guests were present. Kelly Buchenroth, representing the grounds committee, discussed its minutes from June 20. The board moved to put up a chain length fence behind the west fair campers once the pins are located. A work day for July 21 starting around 7 a.m. was set.

The Hardin County Agricultural Society met Wednesday, June 6 for its regular board meeting. Nineteen directors were present and seven guests were present. Craig Stump, president, called the meeting to order.

Country artist Dylan Scott will be the headline act at a Hardin County Fair concert on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 8 p.m. His single “My Girl” reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart.

The entertainer who will headline the Saturday night concert at the 2018 Hardin County Fair will be announced on Friday, May 11. In addition, Judi Cronley, secretary/treasurer of the Hardin County Agricultural Society, reported at the board’s monthly meeting on Wednesday night that there will be an opening act for the Sept. 8 concert starting at 7 p.m.

The Hardin County Agricultural Society discussed a variety of topics at its monthly meeting Wednesday night. All 21 directors were present along with 10 guests.
