Five Hardin County students received the OSU Honda Math Medal award at a breakfast ceremony on Nov. 3 at Honda of America. Kenton City Schools will not be in session Wednesday, Nov. 23 through Friday, Nov. 25 for Thanksgiving break, and Monday, Nov. 28 for a staff professional development day. Classes will resume Tuesday, Nov. 29.

Calvin and Patricia Waugh of Alger are celebrating their 60th anniversary. They were united in marriage on Dec. 29, 1956 at the First Baptist Church in Chariton, Iowa, by Pat’s father, Rev. Victor W. Parson.

The Fortnightly Literary Club met at The Plaza Inn restaurant in Mount Victory on Friday, Nov. 11. Twelve members enjoyed refreshments arranged by hostess Penni Smith.

The Kenton Lions Club met Wednesday, Nov. 16 at Henry’s Restaurant at 6:30 p.m. Thirteen members and a guest were in attendance.

DOLA — Two additional Hardin Northern High School students have been named to first quarter honor roll. They are Jacob Diller and Jonah Diller.

The Dunkirk Girl Scouts recently visited Ghost Town near Findlay. The girls, dressed halloween costumes, visited for the first time the spooky haunts of Ghost Town.
