Some 20 Hardin County roads remained closed this morning as floodwaters have swamped areas of the county, including Dudley Township Road 146 along the Scioto River. The situation has improved from Wednesday when about 35 roads were covered in water, according to Sheriff Keith Everhart.

The testimony of a 13-year-old and of the defendant’s son convinced a Hardin County Common Pleas Court jury to convict a Forest woman on 16 charges, including 11 counts of attempted aggravated arson, late Wednesday afternoon. The jury, made up of nine men and three women, took three hours to return the guilty verdicts against Kimberly Wise of Forest after a second day of testimony.

A Kenton woman was sent to prison for a total of 57 months on three felony counts in a case heard in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.

DOLA — The Hardin Northern Board of Education came to an agreement with the unions who represent both the certified and the classified employees at a special meeting Wednesday evening. According to Supt. Doug Roberts, the contracts are “very, very similar.”
