DUNKIRK — A marketplace navigator to assist people with health insurance questions will be at the Hardin Northern Public Library on Monday June 22 from 2 to 7 p.m.

The Hardin County Board of Elections office will be closed Friday, June 26 to attend the Ohio Secretary of State’s conference.

Some 20 Hardin County roads remained closed this morning as floodwaters have swamped areas of the county, including Dudley Township Road 146 along the Scioto River. The situation has improved from Wednesday when about 35 roads were covered in water, according to Sheriff Keith Everhart.

Jury convicts Forest woman on all charges in arson attempt

The testimony of a 13-year-old and of the defendant’s son convinced a Hardin County Common Pleas Court jury to convict a Forest woman on 16 charges, including 11 counts of attempted aggravated arson, late Wednesday afternoon. The jury, made up of nine men and three women, took three hours to return the guilty verdicts against Kimberly Wise of Forest after a second day of testimony.
