Friday A house fire was reported at 325 N. Leighton St.

Officers were dispatched to 705 W. Franklin Street for a possible overdose.

Kenton police officers were called to a complaint at France Lake of a male brandishing a firearm. According to Lt. Rob Lutes, the caller gave the department a description of the vehicle the man was driving and when they located the car, a pursuit began into the city.

Derek R. Hensley was charged with three counts of theft. Wendy’s Restaurant reported an attempted breaking and entering at the store. A door striker plate was damaged in the attempt.

Walmart contacted the department when an employee noticed Erica Lynn Ellis, 223 E. Ballard Ave. Apt. B, Ada in the store. Ellis had been banned from the store in January 2010.

An officer responded to a well being check at Scioto Village and on arrival found a marijuana plant growing in a pot on the sidewalk. No one claimed ownership of the plant, which was confiscated and destroyed.

Friday Melissa S. Richardson, 1037 S. Main St., Apt. 37, was allegedly the victim of an assault and a theft by a named suspect.

Tony Biederman, 317 Henry St., was cited for an improper turning violation and a one-way street violation. Tyler D. Kottenbrock, Waterville, was cited for a no-passing zone violation.

Kelly J. Tillman, 123 E. Lynn St., and Allison Joy Herriott, 817 Decatur St., were each taken into custody on a probation pickup order. Jason Elwood, 17318 Ohio 37, Forest, was arrested on a warrant through the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office.

Michael S. Amweg, 1107 E. Franklin St. No. 32, was arrested on an active warrant out of the KPD. An on-station report was received of abuse of an elderly person.
