Singers from Alger, Lima and Delphos joined Noteworthy Community Choir for its first Saturday Sing on Nov. 3. Held at Golden Bridge Academy, singers learned several songs, accompanied themselves on Orff instruments (xylophones and metallophones), and created rainsticks - culminating in a time of sharing with parents and friends.

Sandy (McClain) and John Berry of Kenton are celebrating their 50th anniversary. The couple were married Nov. 9, 1968 at Grace United Methodist Church, Dunkirk.

The Teenagers of the Month for October were honored Wednesday with a luncheon and program at the Kenton Moose Lodge. A girl and a boy from each of the county schools is picked to represent their districts and compete for the title of Teenager of the Year in May.

Authorities investigate the scene of a three-vehicle crash on East Columbus Street in Kenton in front of Dollar Tree on Wednesday at about 5 p.m. According to Kenton police, Vehicles driven by John A. Wilson, 3116 CR 175, Forest and Tara Wilson, 216 1/2 W. Franklin St., Kenton, were stopping in traffic in the westbound lane.

The Trophy Bassmasters had 12 members travel to Lake Erie one last time this season for the year-end Club Classic. This is a no points tournament. It is just to have another day on the water to close out the fishing season.

The Kenton-Hardin County Soroptimist Club met Thursday, Nov. 1 at Henry’s Restaurant. President Laura Ferguson called the meeting to order at 6 p.m. with a welcome and introduction of guests.

Two Republicans were elected in Hardin County contested races on Tuesday. Tim Striker will be the newest Hardin County Commissioner in January and Jon Cross was elected to represent the 83rd House District in the Statehouse.

DOLA — Everyone is a born storyteller, author Linda Stanek told the Hardin Northern Elementary students at an assembly Tuesday. As toddlers, she said, they play with blocks and race toy cars as they tell a story to go along with the action.
