ONU report connects opioid abuse to mental illness among juveniles ADA — A study conducted in Hardin County is getting attention far beyond the state of Ohio and it is the hope of the men who conducted the report that the information collected will have an impact on the opioid crisis globally. Ohio Northern University professors Keith Durkin and Tristin Kilgallon, who are members of the criminal justice faculty, joined with Wade Melton, Director of Programs at the Hardin County Juvenile Court, to study the extensive data available through the court records.
