Rick Orahood stands with the announcement box he created and installed at the Ridgemont Public Library’s Ridgeway location. Complete with a transparent door and suggestion box, the wooden box is available to announce activities and provide information to the residents of Ridgeway.

Dr. Paula Whetsel-Ribeau, a graduate of Ridgemont High School and Bowling Green State University, was the guest speaker at graduation ceremonies at her alma mater’s Colleges of Education and Human Development and Technology, Architecture and Applied Engineering earlier this month.

WAYNESFIELD — Upper Scioto Valley’s Megan Carey and Brady Hipsher each pulled off multiple first-place finishes at Saturday’s Northwest Central Conference meet at Waynesfield-Goshen High School. The USV boys took second at the meet, finishing behind the host Tigers.

On May 3rd and 4th the 90th annual FFA State Convention was held at the Ohio State Expo Center. To start off the trip, the group of 15 Hardin Northern FFA members took a tour at Franklin Park Conservatory.

Lauren Snyder has been named the 2018 Belle Center Poppy Queen. The Willard Stout Post 266 American Legion Auxiliary and its volunteers will distribute poppies for donations on Saturday, May 26 in Belle Center.

OTTAWA – Led by second place finishes by Hannah Holland and Paige Osborn, the Kenton girls track team finished sixth at the Western Buckeye League meet on Friday night, Holland was second in the 400 dash in a time of 59.10 seconds, while Osborn finished as runner-up in the 300 hurdles in 49.76 seconds.

Kenton High School soccer standout Enrique Mendez (front) signed a letter of intent on Friday to continue his education and play soccer at Bluffton University.
