The Hardin County Council on Aging Senior Center attended the eclipse party hosted by the Mary Lou Johnson-Hardin County District Library.

The Hardin County Council on Aging Senior Center had a melon party. The seniors learned tips to pick out a good watermelon and they learned about the health benefits of eating melons. They ate watermelon and cantaloupe.

BELLEFONTAINE — The host Ben Logan boys were second of nine teams with 58 points at the Ben Logan Early Bird Cross Country Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. Jonathan Alder had four of the top six runners to win the meet with 28 points.

Lynn Bidlack and Mark Hanson are announcing their engagement and upcoming marriage. Lynn is the daughter of Rudy and Ellen Bidlack of Scott.

Hardin County Girl Scouts were very successful during the 2017 Ohio State Fair. The Girl Scouts brought home 13 trophies this year.

A large crowd made its way to Ohio Northern University’s observatory in Ada to watch the eclipse on Monday afternoon.

“It’s been three great days so far,” Kenton City Schools Superintendent Jennifer Penczarski said of the opening of the 2017-2018 school year. She recapped activities that took place prior to the first day of school during the board of education meeting Monday night.
