URBANA — The Ben Logan boys golf team fired a 171 team score to win a tri-match with Urbana and Springfield Northeastern on Monday afternoon. Urbana was second in the team scoring with a 184, while Northeastern shot a 186.

Kenton High School will be honoring the 1987 Wildcat football team prior to the current KHS team’s game against Defiance at Robinson Field on Sept. 8. The event will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the team’s Western Buckeye League championship.

DOLA — Hardin Northern swept North Baltimore 25-10, 25-13, 25-14 in a non-league volleyball matchup on Monday night. Cassidy Deckling led the Hardin Northern attack with 10 kills, while Morgan Pauley and Shelby Alloway added 7 spikes each and Rylie Bame chipped in with 6.

URBANA — The Benjamin Logan girls golf team edged Urbana by one stroke 228-229 at the Urbana Country Club on Monday. The Raiders’ Mailiis Simovart shot a 43 to claim medalist honors.

SIDNEY — Lehman Catholic defeated Upper Scioto Valley 174-187 in a boys golf match on Monday afternoon. Brady Hipsher carded a 39 for the Rams to finish second overall.

The Kenton High School varsity cheerleaders won a competition for the second consecutive week, placing first and winning grand champion honors at the Carey cheerleading competition on Sunday.

The Ridgemont golf team lost to Riverside by a score of 179 to 225 on Monday at Veterans Memorial Park Golf Course in Kenton. Leading the way for Ridgemont was Lyndon Roof with a score of 49, including two pars.

DOLA — Hardin Northern had more than 500 yards of offense, including 329 through the air, on the way to a 57-35 win over Arcadia in non-league football action on Friday. Polar Bear quarterback Owen Wetherill was 18 of 31 with six touchdown passes, including tosses of 56, 34 and 46 yards to Nick Adams.

BELLEFONTAINE — The Ben Logan middle school volleyball teams defeated Graham on Monday night. The eighth grade Raiders won 25-15, 21-25, 25-9.

UPPER SANDUSKY — The Kenton boys soccer team’s early-season offensive outburst continued on Saturday as the Wildcats rolled past Upper Sandusky 9-0 in a non-league game. The Wildcats, who have had eight or more goals in all of their games this season, improve to 4-0 on the season.
