BELLEFONTAINE — The Benjamin Logan junior high girls basketball teams both avenged losses at Bellefontaine with home wins over the Chieftains Monday night. The Raider seventh grade girls rallied from 11 points down in the third quarter to win 24-19.

BEAVERCREEK — The Kenton Youth Wrestling team competed against 600 wrestlers from 19 other teams in a MVKWA mini-meet in Beavercreek on Sunday Gavin Sealscott moved to 15-0 in the 6-year-old, 50-pound weight class with wins over wrestlers from Bellebrook, Vandalia-Butler and Tecumseh. He recorded six takedowns, 3 near falls, 3 reversals, 1 escape and a pin in the meet.

The Kenton girls basketball team stayed within striking distance of Arlington and trailed the state-ranked Red Devils by three points twice with a minute left to play in the battle of the two-loss teams on Saturday afternoon.

ADA — The Kenton boys basketball team was sharp on both ends of the floor on Saturday night as the Wildcats took control against Ada with a 24-6 second quarter run and never looked back on the way to a 73-40 victory over the host Bulldogs.

BELLEFONTAINE — Host Ben Logan was ninth and Riverdale finished 17th at the Ben Logan Raider Wrestling Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Mitch Current won the 182-pound championship for the Raiders, defeating Lehman Catholic’s Jace Champerlain 7-6 in the championship bout.

BELLEFONTAINE — Nikki Current’s 25 points helped lead her team to a 60-37 Central Buckeye Conference girls basketball victory over Bellefontaine Saturday night. The win lifts the Lady Raiders to 12-6 overall, 7-3 in the CBC.

MANSFIELD — With four seconds left in overtime, Riverdale surrendered a shot to Mansfield Temple Christian to go down two points in a non-conference boys basketball game Saturday night. Following a timeout, a Riverdale inbounds pass to halfcourt went off the Falcons’ hands and out of bounds, allowing the Crusaders to inbound and run out the clock for the 60-58 win.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale surrendered 11 three-pointers to Bluffton on its way to a 56-47 non-conference girls basketball loss Saturday afternoon. After finishing the first quarter up two, the Falcons were outscored by Bluffton (13-4) 22-14 in the second and trailed 35-29 at the half.

MARION — Freshman Noah Eikenbary placed fourth to lead the Kenton as the Wildcat grapplers placed 17th in the team standings at the Sally George Invitational at Marion Pleasant High School this past weekend.

DOLA — Allen East outscored Hardin Northern by 21 points over the middle two quarters on the way to a 71-48 victory over the Polar Bears in a non-conference boys basketball game on Saturday night. Leading 18-16 after one quarter, the Mustangs outscored the Polar Bears 20-10 in the second quarter to make it 38-26 at halftime, before extending their advantage to 59-37 after three quarters.
