Raider bowlers stay unbeaten

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan defeated Riverside in boys bowling Wednesday night. The Raiders rolled to a 2,609-1,946 victory to remain unbeaten this season. Ben Logan has been in three matches so far this season, topping four teams.

Falcons start well, maintain lead in comfortable road win

BUCYRUS — Riverdale learned first-hand the importance of a good start Saturday night, and on Tuesday night, it seemed the Falcons took that lesson to heart. The Falcons scored the first nine points and did not let Bucyrus get closer than seven points the rest of the game in a 55-42 victory at Alex Kish Memorial Gymnasium.

Late surge pushes Ridgemont to victory over Mohawk, 58-45

SYCAMORE — It was a late surge by the Ridgemont Golden Gophers that sealed the deal in their out-of-conference matchup with the Mohawk Warriors. In the season opener and with most of their roster back from a year ago, the Warriors would have liked a better start and finish, but the Golden Gophers built an early lead and closed the game on a 19-4 run to claim a 58-45 victory.

Wilson beats buzzer for Polar Bear win

DOLA — With the score tied and 10 seconds left in the game Tuesday night, Hardin Northern coach Brady Mast called a timeout. When play resumed, the Polar Bears inbounded the ball to Holly Wilson, who went coast-to-coast and made a game-winning layup at the buzzer to give Hardin Northern a 40-38 victory over Allen East.

Rams win in OT to stay undefeated

McCOMB — Upper Scioto Valley outscored McComb 11-6 in overtime Tuesday night to earn a 61-56 victory in girls basketball action. The Rams (3-0) trailed 12-8 after the first quarter and 21-18 at halftime.

Defense is the key in Wildcat win over Chiefs

BELLEFONTAINE — Kenton’s defensive pressure was the key as the Wildcats defeated Bellefontaine 46-33 in a non-league girls basketball game Monday night. The host Chiefs turned the ball over 22 times against Kenton’s pressing defense.

BELLEFONTAINE — Ben Logan had four players reach double figures in scoring as the Raiders rolled to an 82-44 girls basketball victory over Indian Lake on Monday night. Nikki Current paced the undefeated Raiders (4-0) with 25 points.
