Lima Central Catholic topped Kenton 5-0 in a non-league girls tennis matchup on Wednesday afternoon. In singles play, Olivia Kesner defeated Mykaela Schriber 6-3, 6-0; Morgan Cheney topped Lily Osborn 6-0, 6-0 and Paige Brinkman was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Grace Collins.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Liberty-Benton swept Riverdale 25-12, 25-13, 25-15 in a Blanchard Valley Conference volleyball matchup on Wednesday night. Grace Wetherill led the Falcons with 4 kills, 3 aces and 2 blocks; while Tayler Ashburn added 3 kills and 6 digs and Brookelyn Walter had 3 kills.

Bulldogs drop road NWC volleyball match

COLUMBUS GROVE — The Ada Lady Bulldogs lost in three sets on the road to Columbus Grove in Tuesday’s Northwest Conference volleyball match by scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-15. Megan Light had eight kills and 17 digs. Miranda Wills racked up four aces and six kills and 12 digs. Kendal Guagenti also scooped out 17 digs. Aubrey Madison had three blocks and five kills while Kirsten Poling had three kills and 13 assists.

Lady ‘Cats spike W-G for first win of season

WAYNESFIELD — The Kenton volleyball team earned its first victory of the season on Tuesday, defeating Waynesfield-Goshen 25-10, 25-22, 25-22 in a non-league matchup. Leading the way for Kenton was Erin Lyons, who accounted for 17 service points in the match to go along with five digs and six assists. Chesney Moore chipped in with 7 digs, while Laney Harpel and Jenna Manns each had 9 assists each.

Ben Logan spikers improve to 3-0 in CBC

SPRINGFIELD — Ben Logan picked up a three set 25-9. 25-15, 25-17 victory over Springfield Northwestern in a Central Buckeye Conference volleyball matchup on Tuesday night. The Raiders, who improve to 6-3 overall and 3-0 in CBC play, were paced by Kylie Frazier with 14 service points, including six aces, five kills and eight assists.

Defiance outshoots KHS on the golf course

The Kenton golf team fell to Defiance 161-194 in the Wildcats final home match of the season on Tuesday night. Senior Trey Jeffries led the Wildcats with a 46. He was followed by Noah Ketcham with a 47, Luke Hites with a 48 and Ethan Wirbel with a 53.
