BLUFFTON — The Kenton Area Swim Team and Ada swim team competed in the second and final day of the 2019 Western Ohio Aquatics League Championships on Saturday. Ada finished fourth in the combined team scores out of eight teams with 1,563 points, while the Kenton Area Swim Team took sixth with 980.5 points. The Westside Swim & Racket Club won the event with 2,964 points.

BLUFFTON — Ada and the Kenton Area Swim Team competed in Day 1 of the 2019 Western Ohio Aquatics League Championships, which concluded Friday night.

The Kenton Football Pigskin Open golf outing will be held at 8:30 a.m. (shotgun start) on Friday, July 19 at Veterans Memorial Park Golf Course, 15906 Ohio 309, Kenton. Golfers must be in their carts and ready to go by 8:20 a.m.

The Kenton High School football team will be competing in the Powerade 7-on-7 Invitational on Friday and Saturday, July 12 and 13, at the Matthews Sportsplex in Matthews, N.C.

Football reserved season tickets for the 2019 Kenton Wildcat football season are now on sale on the Kenton athletic website and in person at the athletic office. Tickets and passes can be purchased in person beginning Tuesday, July 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the high school office, continuing each weekday until July 26. All reserved seat season tickets are $40 per seat.

The Memorial Park Bridge Club met on Wednesday, July 3 at the Pro Shop Annex. The host was Harry Landsberg and there were three tables in play. High scores were held by Landsberg, Dan Schryer and Joyce Schryer.

BLUFFTON – More than 500 swimmers and their families will descend on Bluffton July 12-13, 2019 for the annual Western Ohio Aquatics League (WOAL) Swim Champs. The WOAL is for swimmers aged 4-18 who are members of one of the league’s teams.

Recent Kenton High School graduate Landon Bartlett (back row, third from right) was recognized for his athletic and academic achievements by the Ohio High School Athletic Association/Northwest District Athletic Board. Students from 29 school districts representing 13 different sports all received scholarships at the banquet.
