Deardurff leads Lady Raiders into district final

CASSTOWN — Grace Deardurff fired a one-hitter, striking out 14 Versailles batters, to lead the way for Ben Logan in a 7-0 Division III district semifinal softball victory on Tuesday at Miami East. The game was scheduled to be played on Monday night at Brookville High School, but was moved to Tuesday due to wet field conditions.

Minster ends Lady Gophers season at districts

WAPAKONETA — Minster plated seven runs in the first inning and cruised from there on the way to a 15-3 district semifinal softball win over Ridgemont on Tuesday afternoon at Wapakoneta High School. The Gophers, who finish their season at 13-9, received an RBI double from Brooke Nelson. Callie Cromer and Emma Smith added singles.

The 15th annual Hardin County Golf Foundation Memorial Tournament honoring Jim Black, Ox Carson and George Davidson will be held at Memorial Park Golf Club in Kenton on Saturday, May 25 with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Skill prizes, 50/50, skins and a $1,000 payout will be available to those entering this four-person scramble event.
