Kenton wrestlers ready for district tourney

Ready for districts

Kenton didn’t have the numbers on the wrestling team this season that first-year coach Ryan Morgan was hoping for, but the Wildcats did a lot with what they had. Kenton started the season with eight wrestlers on the team and four of them will be competing in the district tournament, which starts today at Fostoria High School.

Gray reaches state final in breaststroke

CANTON — Kenton senior Mo Gray advanced to the state finals in the 100-yard breaststroke based on her performance in Thursday’s preliminary race. The final race takes place tonight at the C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton.

Robert V. McCaughin

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Robert V. “Bob” McCaughin will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church in Kenton by Pastor Ken Engdahl. He died at 1:40 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016 at his residence.

Sheriff asks for help in finding missing woman

The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s help in locating Hardin County resident Toni L. Schorr, 57, of rural Kenton. She was last seen Wednesday evening at her home at County Road 210 in McDonald Township. Schorr reportedly left her residence on foot and the sheriff’s office has been unable to locate her since.
